Ancient Greek Rhodes silver coin 18k gold pendant Helio |
This is a superb condition authentic ancient silver Greek coin from the island of Rhodes featuring the head of Helios (the sun god) with the rose of Rhodes inverse on the back. It is a very good coin numismatically speaking and a gorgeous strike. I purchased this coin from a coin dealer over 15 years ago and paid 350 and then paid a jeweler to carefully set it in a 18k yellow gold bezel that would show both sides of the coin to best advantage and keep the coin in good condition. (no piercing of the coin) This coin is from around 300 BC. It is authentic guaranteed and I have seen coins of this age and type (silver rhodian helios 175-350 BC) go for up to 1000 dollars in similar condition.
