FRANKLIN MINT STERLING SILVER CARIBBEAN COIN SET! LOOK! |
Sterling Silver coins by the Franklin Mint company. This coin set was released in 1985 and is titled "Treasure Coins of the Caribbean". Each coin is a Sterling Silver British Virgin Islands $20 piece, and there are 25 of these beauties in this set ($500 total in face value). My grandfather loved to collect coins and this set was handed down to me after he passed away in 1991. I am not a coin expert, but these are, in my opinion, in mint condition. To my knowledge, they were never handled or otherwise taken out of their case. They were stored in a safety deposit box while my grandfather was alive, and once the coin set came to me, they were stored in a dresser drawer underneath some old linens. The set comes in its original case, but I do not have any of the certificates or paperwork. Each coin measures 1 1/2" in diameter, and the total weight of all the coins is 17 oz.

50 Franklin Mint State Sterling Silver Ignots |
This is a complete cased set of 50 sterling silver ingots issued by the Franklin Mint on March 17, 1975 depicting the State bird and flower of each of the 50 states on one side and the outline of the state with the name of the bird and flower on the back side. It is an official issue of the National Governors' Conference and is a hallmarked First Edition Proof set minted unlimited edition. The complete set of 50 ingots contains 30,000 grains of solid sterling silver. Each ingot weighs approximately 1 1/2 ounces. All paperwork, including the certificate of authenticity, is included plus a book with the history of how each State chose their official State bird and flower. The set is contained in a plush, lined hardwood display case, which is in good condition with only a couple of minor scratches. The case measures 22 X 16 X 3 1/2". Coins will be packed by Pac Mail and will be shipped, insured for $1500, and signature required by UPS. The weight on this box will be 12 1/2 lbs plus packing materials. 34 Franklin Mint Presidential Ingots. The sterling silver ingots each weigh 2.083 troy ounces totaling 70.8 troy ounces. All of the ingots come in their original blue velvet cases. A portion of the ingots still have the original boxes that they were mailed in from the Franklin Mint. All of the ingots are in very good to excellent condition. The presidents included are; Hayes, Garfield, Fillmore, Pierce, Adams, Washington, Jefferson, Madison, Eisenhower, Kennedy, F. Roosevelt, Truman, L. Johnson, Nixon, Taylor, Polk, A.
