Diameter is the size of a Morgan Silver dollar, though thicker. Encased in a clear plastic sheet. Cameo images and mirror finishes. Made in the Marshall Islands in 1989. The astronauts on the flight were Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, Jr. and Michael Collins. The Columbia launched on July 16th, 1969 and the lunar module Eagle landed on the lunar surface on July 20th. Armstrong was the first American to set foot on the moon. The obverse is an image of astronaut Neil Armstrong stepping down from the Eagle to the moon. There is the text, "FIRST MEN ON THE MOON 1969 1989". In the middle is "5 FIVE DOLLLARS". The reverse has the Seal of the Marshall Islands. The text is "REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS" and underneath, "SEAL", "$5", JEPILPILIN KE EJUKAAN", and "1989". Beautiful piece.
