UNCIRCULATED 2007 P GEORGE WASHINGTON PRESIDENTIAL DOLLAR ERROR
"RARE MAJOR DIE CLASH - DOUBLED"
THE PICTURES SHOW THE EXACT COIN YOU ARE BIDDING ON.
THIS COIN HAS A VERY BOLD DIE CLASH ON BOTH THE REVERSE AND OBVERSE OF THE COIN.
THIS ERROR IS RECOGNIZED BY THE MAJOR GRADING SERVICES.
I HAVE INCLUDE PICTURES WITH ARROWS POINTING OUT JUST SOME OF THE CLASHED DIE ERROR.
A MAJOR AMOUNT OF THE STATUE AND GEORGE WASHINGTON CAN BE SEEN ON THE OPPOSITE SIDES THAT THEY NORMALLY APPEAR. THE STATUE OF LIBERTY HAS "4X EXTRA SPIKES" 2 OF THESE ARE UNDER HER CHIN AND THE GLARE BLOCKED THEM OUT OF THE PICTURE. YOU CAN SEE PARTS OF GEORGE WASHINGTON UNDER LIBERTIES ARM, AROUND THE $1, UNDER AND TO THE RIGHT OF THE TORCH, AND ALSO APPEARING AS EXTRA SPIKES IN HER CROWN.
ON THE OBVERSE YOU CAN SEE PARTS OF THE STATUE ON WASHINGTONS FACE IN BOTH EYES, ON THE CHEEKBONE, ON THE NECK IS THE CROWN, AND IN FRONT OF THE CHIN. THERE IS A LITTLE BIT MORE THAT CAN BE SEEN WITH MAGNIFICATION.
THE ERROR CAN EASILY BE SEEN WITHOUT ENLARGING.
AT THE TIME THAT I SUBMITTED THIS COIN IT IS THE ONLY ONE LIKE IT HERE ON EBAY.
THERE IS ANOTHER GW DIE CLASH, BUT ONLY ONE SIDE IS CLASHED.
2007 George Washington Dollars that are NGC Certified. They are the ones that have the Missing Edge Lettering - Mint Error MS 65. There is no mint mark and no "In God We Trust" on the rim. They are called the Smooth Edge, Plain Edge and even The Godless Dollar.
These are never again to be minted. As you know, coins with mint errors on them can become quite expensive through the years. Especially when they have been graded by the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation and sealed in a plastic container.
